We’ve been using open-source software since the 1990s for both small and major projects. Open-source software features publicly available source code that anyone can freely use, modify, and distribute. Unlike tools from Microsoft and most other corporations, open-source software does NOT involve any secrecy, censorship, tracking of user activities, or exploitation.

Here, we’ll outline the key free desktop and online software systems I personally recommend and the reasons why.
